牛津小学英语的教材概况
《牛津小学英语》是根据《英语课程标准》的教育理念、课程目标和内容标准，按每周3－4课时(每课时为 35—40分钟)的容量设计和编写的，共八册，供小学三年级起开设英语课的学校使用，每学期一册。《牛津小学英语》的八册教科书中共设计安排了80个单元，其中新授单元64个，复习单元16个。各册的具体安排是：3A, 3B各为12个单元(包括2个复习单元)，4A, 4B, 5A, 5B各为10个单元(包括2个复习单元)，6A 和6B为8个单元(包括2个复习单元)。《牛津小学英语》共出现了个人情况、家庭人员、日常生活、学校生活、节假日活动、体育和文娱等20多个话题，问候、介绍、告别、感谢、道歉、打电话、就餐、就医、购物和问路等约40个语言功能项目，一些最基本的语言结构以及1000多个单词和一定数量的习惯用语或固定搭配，还提供了由自己编写的30多首英语歌曲和30多首英语歌谣。《牛津小学英语》的3A, 3B两册(供三年级用)主要强调听说，另外还要求掌握26个字母、约30个词语和整体认读部分词句。4A至6B六册(供四年级至六年级用)在继续重视听说的同时，有目的、有计划地逐步增加读写内容，逐步提高读写要求。与《牛津小学英语》教科书配套使用的材料有：教师教学用书、练习册、抄写本、词汇手册、评价手册、录音带、教学挂图和卡片等。目前正在策划与教科书相配套的多媒体光盘。

How I Learned to Learn English 我是如何学会学习英语的Last year, I did not like my English class. Every class was like a bad dream. 去年,我不喜欢英语课。每一节课就像是一场噩梦。The teacher spoke too quickly.
