NBA76人队 名字的由来
76人队的前身叫做锡拉库扎国民队，是NBA联盟的“开国元老”之一。
1963年春天，费城人伊夫·考斯洛夫和艾克·里奇满买下了锡拉库扎国民队。NBA联盟在5月22日通过了这一购买行为。
1963年8月3日，球队召开会议准备更改球队名称。在500个建议中，球队挑选了76人作为球队名称，以期纪念1776年美国独立宣言在费城签订宣布。类似NFL里的旧金山49人队，纪念在旧金山发现金矿的年代。
而提出这一名字的沃特·斯坦博格也凭借自己的那张小纸条和上面仅有25个单词的队名解释，为自己赢下了一次美国西海岸豪华游。
