二、Listening situation: environment (section 2/4): Amosphere: Oxygen、Hydrogen、Nitrogen、Carbon dioxide、Carbon monoxide、Ozone、sulphur monoxide; pollution: air pollution、acid rain、contaminated water、pollutant、contaminant、chemicals、toxic waste; Geographical: soil erosion、desertification、drought、floods、overfishing、over felling、deforestation; Energy: fossil fuels、coal、gas、petroleum、solar、tide、wind power、nuclear、marsh gas、methane、biogas; Recycling: plastic、paper、glass、bottle tops、ink cartridges、spare parts/components。
Listening situation: repair (section 1): What to repair: fridge、refrigerator、washing machine、CD player、electric light、clock、bungalow、 cooker、rice cooker、printer ; Model type/number Main problem: leaking、door broken、flashing、hands broken、noisy、fan broken、steam escaping; When to repair: immediately、straight away、right now、urgent;Next weekweekdays、weekends、in a couple of weeks、Mornings、afternoons (am pm); Quality warranty: expiry date、quality guaranteed for two years; Compensation: refund、replacement; Payment: cash、cheque、credit card、bank transfer。
四、Listening situation: diet and health (section 4): Food intake/elements: protein、vitamins、fat、carbohydrates、fat acid、calcium、cholesterol、minerals、calorie、kilocalorie; Diet: cereals、sugar、salt、lean meat、eggs、fish、milk、vegetables、fruit、red meat、white meat; Cereals: wheat、corn、barley、oat、maize、rice; Health: low nutrition、malnutrition、overweight、obese、underweight、intelligence、eyesight、 brain、learning difficulty、digestion、congestion、heart disease、tuberculosis; Physical exercises: running、jogging、swimming。

The second chart shows the number of children who participated in three sports in Britain over the same time period. 范文: Here's my full answer: The line graphs show the average monthly amount that parents in Britain spent on their children’s sporting activities and the number of British children who took part in three different sports from 2008 to 2014. It is clear that parents spent more money each year on their children’s participation in sports over the six-year period. In terms of the number of children taking part, football was significantly more popular than athletics and swimming. In 2008, British parents spent an average of around £20 per month on their children’s sporting activities. Parents’ spending on children’s sports increased gradually over the following six years, and by 2014 the average monthly amount had risen to just over £30. Looking at participation numbers, in 2008 approximately 8 million British children played football, while only 2 million children were enrolled in swimming clubs and less than 1 million practised athletics. The figures for football participation remained relatively stable over the following 6 years. By contrast, participation in swimming almost doubled, to nearly 4 million children, and there was a near fivefold increase in the number of children doing athletics. 'waste graph' answer 范文: The line graph compares three companies in terms of their waste output between the years 2000 and 2015. It is clear that there were significant changes in the amounts of waste produced by all three companies shown on the graph. While companies A and B saw waste output fall over the 15-year period, the amount of waste produced by company C increased considerably. In 2000, company A produced 12 tonnes of waste, while companies B and C produced around 8 tonnes and 4 tonnes of waste material respectively. Over the following 5 years, the waste output of companies B and C rose by around 2 tonnes, but the figure for company A fell by approximately 1 tonne. From 2005 to 2015, company A cut waste production by roughly 3 tonnes, and company B reduced its waste by around 7 tonnes. By contrast, company C saw an increase in waste production of approximately 4 tonnes over the same 10-year period. By 2015, company C’s waste output had risen to 10 tonnes, while the respective amounts of waste from companies A and B had dropped to 8 tonnes and only 3 tonnes. (192 words, band 9) pie charts report 题目; The charts below show the results of a questionnaire that asked visitors to the Parkway Hotel how they rated the hotel's customer service. The same questionnaire was given to 100 guests in the years 2005 and 2010. 范文: The pie charts compare visitors’ responses to a survey about customer service at the Parkway Hotel in 2005 and in 2010. It is clear that overall customer satisfaction increased considerably from 2005 to 2010. While most hotel guests rated customer service as satisfactory or poor in 2005, a clear majority described the hotel’s service as good or excellent in 2010. Looking at the positive responses first, in 2005 only 5% of the hotel’s visitors rated its customer service as excellent, but this figure rose to 28% in 2010. Furthermore, while only 14% of guests described customer service in the hotel as good in 2005, almost three times as many people gave this rating five years later. With regard to negative feedback, the proportion of guests who considered the hotel’s customer service to be poor fell from 21% in 2005 to only 12% in 2010. Similarly, the proportion of people who thought customer service was very poor dropped from 15% to only 4% over the 5-year period. Finally, a fall in the number of ‘satisfactory’ ratings in 2010 reflects the fact that more people gave positive responses to the survey in that year. (193 words, band 9) ;

part 1 Task:Art classes, like painting and drawing are as important as other subject, should be compulsory subject in high school.To what extant do you agree or disagree? Sample answer: Nowadays, many people contemplate whether art classes should be compulsory courses of high school. I believe it is absolutely necessary to make this idea come true as soon as possible. One of the reasons is that some artworks are rich in knowledge and through appreciating these artworks in class, students can have access to a wide range of knowledge. For example, compared with the limited narration in history book, one of the masterpieces of Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, The Last Supper, displays a scene of religion in a more vivid and profound way. Art classes offer students another opportunity to think about some knowledge and these classes are significant complement to some core classes like math and science.Without these art classes, students can only acquire knowledge through words, which is not always the most effective and comprehensive approach to learn. Apart from that, the underlying merits of attending art classes will benefit the students in the long term,which are no less than those of studying some core subjects As we know, academic performance is no longer the only standard to judge a student for many universities and as result, being adept at music or painting do help. After they enter the university,even if they study other majors in college, the skills qualities cultivated through these art classes may assist them to perform better. The abilities to be focused, to be detail-oriented and to be persistent will be conducive to students no matter what their disciplines are. Considering the advantages of making art classes a complosory part in high school discussed above, I believe it is a wise choice from every aspect. (273 words) part 2 Task:You are renting an apartment (flat). You have a small accident in the kitchen. You should write a letter to the landlord. Describe the damage. How it happened. Write what you want the landlord to do. Sample answer: Dear Mike, I am writing to inform you that the microwave oven in your kitchen is broken. I am so sorry and it was all my fault. This morning, when I was cooking my breakfast, I put the utensil which is made from metal into the machine. Unfortunately, after few seconds, I saw sparks flying off and heard two or three loud bangs. I was too scared to cut off the electricity immediately. While I opened the oven, there were some holes in the internal surface and the bulb was smashed. Obviously, it can not work any longer. I was so hurry for work at that time that I forgot the notice of how to use the microwave oven appropriately. I made a sincere apology to you for my mistake and hope you could contact with the workers who can repair the damage. I promise I would pay for the maintenance costs. Yours sincerely Lily (155 words)
